Thank you for your patience and encouragement as we move into Phase 2 of Learning at Home. This is new for all of us, but with together.
As you are probably aware, the Ministry has indicated that students are expected to be provided with approximately 5 hours of learning activities per week. We have been informed that this should be broken up with 2.5 hours of mathematics. and 2.5 hours of literacy, which includes French. I have created a different workspace than the one we used this week for this. The workspace is called L'apprentissage à la maison. So far, there are 3 activities:
1) mon journal, I would like to hear from each student, how are they doing, what are they doing... I miss them!!
2) a reading activity on First Nations and European Explorers, a text and questions
3) a writing activity where they write about which group ( First Nations or European Explorers) they would've like to live as in Early Canada (prior 1713).
